Muzaffarabad, October 6 (Online): At least two Pakistani civilians were injured when Indian forces once again resorted to unprovoked firing from across the Line of Control in Battal Sector of Azad Kashmir on Sunday.
The injured was admitted to a local hospital in Rawalakot.
The Pakistan Army retaliated with firing after which both sides ceased fire.
This is another incident of the continued violence between both countries along the Line of Control (LoC).
Earlier, the Indian army claimed to have killed seven militants in their side of the disputed border of Kashmir region. Indian military claims it has been fighting 30 to 40 infiltrators who crossed the LoC last month.
On October 4, four people were injured in the Kotli area because of Indian shelling on the Line of Control.
Prime Ministers of both countries during their sideline meeting in New York last week had agreed for a ceasefire on LoC.
Several people including army personnel and civilians have been killed on both side of the disputed border of Kashmir in recent months where armies of both nuclear armed rivals stand in front of each other six decades.
