Three security personnel killed in IED blast in Bannu

Bannu, October 6 (Online): At least three security personnel were martyred and eight others injured in a remote controlled bomb attack on a security forces vehicle at in Bannu on Sunday morning, officials said.
According to security officials, explosion occured on Miranshah Road left three security officers dead and eight others injured. The target of planted bomb was patrolling vehicle of security forces.
A curfew was imposed in the area following the blast. The injured were taken to Bannu Combined Military Hospital, where the hospital management says condition of few personnel was in critical.
The blast was reportedly detonated by a remote controlled device and was targeting a security forces vehicle.
Meanwhile, an improvised explosive device (IED) planted near a check post in Karkhano market went off, injuring one security personnel in Peshawar.
IED attacks of security forces have increased in recent months in tribal areas, restive areas of KPK and Balochistan provinces.
