MIRPUR, Oct 6 (APP): The 8th anniversary of deadly earthquake
of October 8, 2005 will be observed as the National Disaster Awareness
Day across the Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) on Tuesday.
According to Director Public Relations AJK Ch. Muhammad Rasheed, special functions will be held in various city of AJK to remeber the
earthquake victims and create awareness among the people about the
adoption of per-cautionary measures.
Fateha Khawani will be held for the victims and sirens blown at
8.52 am with observation of a two-minute silence on the day to mourn
the victims.
