Shahbaz annoyed over poor performance of mineral department

Lahore, Oct 08(Online) : Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif expressed his displeasure over unsatisfactory performance of Minerals Department and Punjab Mineral Development Company.
|He was presiding over a meeting regarding utilization of iron ores, here today. Provincial Minister for Energy and Minerals Sher Ali Khan, Chairman Planning & Development, Secretary Minerals, Special Secretary Finance and officers concerned were
present. The meeting was given a detailed briefing regarding iron ores in
Chiniot and Rajua.
The CM sought a report about the past performance of the Board of Punjab Mineral Development Company. He said that laxity in the exploration of iron ores and other matters is intolerable. He lamented that Minerals Department and Punjab Minerals Development Company have failed to take any solid step with regard to iron ores in the province. He said that there is a dire need for capacity building of the department.
