QUETTA Oct 11 (PPI): Shortage of water was attaining serious situation in Balochistan. If situation was not controlled we would be faced with massive difficulty as in the absence of concrete planning water reservoirs were depleting. To overcome the situation delay action and check dams would be built so that rain water could be preserved.
This was stated by President PML Balochistan MPA Shaikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhel here Friday.
He said that we were wasting large quantity of rain water annually. If it was stored shortage of water can be overcome.
He said he had moved a resolution on growing water shortage in Balochistan assembly session recently so that seriousness of the issue could be realized and steps should be taken to control it or Quetta would be deprived of water. Same is the situation in most of the area of province. It is a challenge for our government to evolve a strategy to overcome this situation on solid grounds.
He said there is need to preserve water resources and mend behavior of wastage fo water so that people could also pay their role. He aid people can play important role to save water.
