QWP provincial Chairman and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao, MPA Meraj Humayun, former MPA Nasreen Khattak and others were present at the press conference.

Aftab Sherpao asked the federal government to seek a violable solution to the problems being faced by the Pakhtuns and take steps to restore sustainable peace in the country particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The QWP leader said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa produced more gas and electricity than other parts of the country.

He called upon the federal government to let the Pakhtuns become masters of their resources. He said the Pakhtuns were playing an important role in making Pakistan a developed country.

About the recent hike in power tariff and POL prices, he said the federal government should withdraw the raise as the people were already grappling with skyrocketing inflation and putting more burden on them was injustice.
