PEF to enter into partnership with 200 private schools

LAHORE, Oct. 13 (Online): Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) shall enter into partnership with 200
private schools during the current fiscal year. This partnership shall be made under Foundation Assisted School (FAS) program in various districts of
the province.

Chairman Punjab Education Foundation Raja Anwar said this while talking to a representative delegation of private schools heads & principals at his
residence on Sunday.

Talking to the delegation, he said that phase 8 of extension of the FAS programme has already initiated adding that this extension shall facilitate
more and more poor children to benefit from the PEF model of free education which is designed to open the doors of school education to the most deserving.

The PEF has already arranged free school education for 12 lakh deserving students under its FAS program in all the 36 districts of the province, he added.
For the purpose, partnership has been made with
low-cost private schools in various districts so that the deserving students could study in nearby schools in their districts.

He asked the private schools to benefit from the public private partnership model of the
foundation and help promote quality education in the province.

On the occasion, the delegation thanked the foundation for its beneficial educational programs.
