Security to Al-Khidmat, JI volunteers during Eid days demanded

KARACHI, Oct 14 (Online): General Secretary Al-Khidmat Welfare Society Engineer Abdul Aziz on Monday presented annual audit report for the year 2012-13.

President Al-Khidmat Welfare Society and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, Naib Ameer JI Karachi Nasrullah Khan Shajih and Secretary Information JI Karachi Zahid Askari were also present on the occasion.
According to the audit report 2012-13, total Rs 56, 28, 49,667 have been spent on deprived and less privileged people in different shares.

Apprising the details of the welfare works carried out by Al-Khidmat Welfare Society, Engr Abdul Aziz informed the media that the Al-Khidmat Foundation has bear the expense of education and food of 300 orphan children, adding that four Al-Khidmat hospitals have been established in each area including Nazimabad, Korangi, Shah Faisal and Orangi Town, where the free medical facilities have been provided to around 1million patients during the year 2012-13.

“Five medical centers have also been setup in different areas including Sakhi Hasan, North Karachi, Nazimabad, Malir City and Gulberg Town”, he added.

Engr Abdul Aziz further said that the Al-Khidmat Welfare Society has also setup a blood bank and also provided life saving medicines to the less privileged people from the Al-Khidmat Pharmacy at the discounted rate of 10 to 15per cent.

He said that the Al-Khidmat Foundation has spent Rs 2 crore 59 lac and 7 thousands during the year 2012-13 on education in different Madressah.

“Al-Khidmat has distributed ration to 3200 families during the year 2012-13 while 8500 families being provided ration during Ramzan”, he added.

He further said that the Al-Khidmat has also provided dowry boxes to the deprived families for the marriage of their girls and also spent Rs 2.2million cash on their marriage.
