QUETTA, Oct 17 (APP): Citizens celebrated second day of Eid-ul-Azha by
visiting the relatives and friends as on the first day of Eid, majority were busy in offering sacrifices of the animals in commemoration of Hazarat Ibarahim (A.S) readiness to sacrifice his son on the command of Allah Almighty.
Hanna Lake, Hana Urak and other picnic spots in the outskirts of city
remained crowded while children visited the Eid fairs and enjoyed the traditional camel rides and swings.
The City government had made effective arrangements for disposing off
the remains of sacrificial animals while citizens in some areas of the city faced inconvenience due to heaps which accumulated as a result of ineffective arrangements by local municipal corporation. In these areas, the remains of sacrificial animals choked the drainage system causing sewerage water flow on roads.
The security remained stringent and police and Frontier Corps officials
patrolled across the city. They kept searching the vehicles and individuals on entry points and inside city.
No untoward incident was reported from any part of the province on
second day of Eid.
