QUETTA Oct 18 (PPI): Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Bach has said fifty percent unimportant check posts of Frontier Corps have been removed. Decision to extend police powers to FC has been given in view of law and order situation.
He was speaking to Newsmen at CM Secretariat here on Eid day.
He said police power have been extended to FC for a month in view of law and order situation. Fifty percent unnecessary posts have been removed while FC was still present in Marriabad, Hazara Town and other sensitive localities.
He said steps were underway to strengthen and stabilise Police and Levies force so that we do not need FC.
He said on eid day the day of pleasure we did not forget earthquake hit people. They were given relief goods and eid gifts as well.
He asked insurgents on mountains to come to the negotiating table so that problems of the province are resolved mutually.
Chief Minister said we do not have proofs of involvement of India in terror acts in the province but Federation and secret agencies have solid proofs in this connection.
