Musharraf bail petition: Police ordered to present case record on Oct 23

ISLAMABAD, Oct 19 (Online): Session court heard the bail petition of former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf in the murder case of Abdul Rasheed Ghazi of Lal Masjid on Saturday.

During today’s proceedings, the court instructed the police to present the case record in the next hearing set on October 23.
The court also issued notices to all the relevant parties of the case for the next hearing.
Tariq Asad advocate submitted the power of attorney in the court on behalf of the petitioner, Haroon Rasheed.
It may be recalled that Musharraf was granted bail in three major cases against him, including the assassination of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, the murder of Nawab Akbar Bugti and the judges’ detention case.
Later, after submission of surety bonds in the Supreme Court, when he was closer to possible release from nearly six months of house arrest, Islamabad police arrested him in Abdul Rasheed Ghazi’s murder case.
