EID vacations over, load shedding menace returns

LAHORE, Oct 19 (Online): Load shedding problem has returned in different areas of the country including Lahore after Eid holidays.
Details said, power shortfall has risen up to 2000 mega watts in all across the country, while as per NTDC production of power in country is 11000 mega watts while demand is 13000 mega watts.
Currently 3800 mega watts are being produced through hydral power project, 1900 from thermal and 5300 mega watt from IPPs.
Sources said, reason behind current load shedding is the mechanical fault taken place in HUBCO which will be resolved soon.
On the other side in country 4 to 5 hours load shedding is being done in urban areas while 7 to 8 hours in rural areas.
