Five killed, 18 hurt as blast hits Jaffar Express in Balochistan

NASEERABAD Oct 21 (Online): A blast hit Jaffar Express in Balochistan’s Naseerabad district on Monday, killing five passengers and injuring at least 18 others besides damaging five coaches.

According to private TV the explosion took place inside the train when it reached near Shori railway station in Balochistan’s Naseerabad district.

The train was going to Quetta from Rawalpindi.

Police, rescue teams and district administration authorities rushed to the blast site. Officials said five coaches were damaged in the powerful blast.

Bomb disposal squad was called from Dera Murad Jamali to determine the nature of the blast.

The injured were shifted to civil hospital Quetta.
