ANP senator resigns in favour of Tal locals

Islamabad, October 24 (Online): Senator and a prominent leader of the Awami National Party, Abdul Nabi Bangash has resigned from the membership of standing committee of petroleum and natural resources on Thursday.

ANP’s Abdul Nabi Bangash resigned from the membership over protesting for non-provision of gas to the residents of Tal, the rural area in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Bangash said that the former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani approved the provision of gas to Tal residents but the result is null till yet.

Abdul Nabi Bangash was elected on the senator post for the tenure of 2009 till 2015 while he is affiliated with the Awami National Party (ANP).

Currenly, Bangash providing his services as a member in different committees including Education and Training as Chairperson, Housing & Works, Overseas Pakistanis, Employees Welfare Fund while he resigned from the Petroleum and Natural Resources committee on Thursday.
