QUETTA Oct 24 (PPI): Government was doing its level best for the elimination of fatal disease of polio. Year 2015 would be declared Polio Free Year.
This was stated by Balochistan Chief Minster Dr Abdul Malik Baloch at a Press conference at Cm Secretariat here Thursday.
Provincial minister for health Rehmat Ali Baloch Dr Attaullah and Ulema were preset on the occasion.
Chief Minister said polio is fatal and dangerous disease in which any children become crippled for life. He aid science made progress and invented polio vaccine. He appealed to parents and Ulema to support government for the elimination f this disease and feed anti polio drops to their children.
Health Minster Rehmat Ali Baloch said we are struggling for elimination of polio. Provincial assembly had adopted a resolution that students would be given admissions on production of polio cards while year 2015 would be declared as Polio Free year.
He aid Ulema, civil society and Media should join us in this campaign.
Ulema said that Ulema and religious parties jointly waged a struggle against polio. They asked people to administer anti polio drops to their children because 53 Islamic countries shave given such drops to their children. There is no harm in it, he added.
