Faculty Professional Development Programme kicks-off at HEC

ISLAMABAD, Oct 30 (Online): As many as 30 faculty members from 30 public and HEC funded private universities from across Pakistan are participating in the 21st Master Trainers-Faculty Professional Development Programme (MT-FPDP) that began at HEC Secretariat.

So far, 580 faculty members of higher education institutions have benefitted from MT-FPDP, conducted by HEC's Learning Innovation Division.

The training programme is designed specifically for in-service teachers who have less than five years of service as a faculty member and working on a permanent basis.

The main objective of the programme, comprising 13 core modules and additional sessions on different social topics, is to enhance and enrich teaching abilities of participants to ensure quality education which is entirely dependent on the quality of teachers.

Speaking as chief guest on the occasion, Dr. Khawaja Azam Ali, former Managing Director, Quality Assurance Agency, HEC highlighted the contribution of HEC for professional development of higher education faculty. He advised the participants to become role models for their students. Noor Amna Malik, Director General, Learning Innovation, HEC was also present on the occasion.
