3 people killed in an explosion in Quetta

QUETTA, Nov 21 (Online): Three people including two personnel of security forces were killed and several others injured in an explosion in the Satellite Town area on Thursday morning.
The incident took place at about 9:20 a.m. local time when a bomb fixed on a motorbike went off at a market on Sirki Road in Satellite Town of Quetta.
Two policemen and a child were among those killed and two victims remained in critical condition.
Reports said a vehicle belonging to the paramilitary force and at least eight other vehicles and some buildings near the market were also damaged.
The security forces have cordoned off the area after the explosion. The injured are being shifted to the hospitals.
According to initial details, a security forces’ vehicle was the target.
Police have started their initial investigation and collected evidence from the blast site.
Nearby buildings were also damaged due to the intensity of the blast.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Meanwhile‚ President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif have strongly denounced Quetta blast.
They have directed the concerned authorities to provide best possible medical treatment to the injured.
