LAHORE, Nov 20 (INP): Ameer Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman has blamed that Rawalpindi carnage was not accidental but a pre-planned conspiracy.

Talking to media persons here on Wednesday, Maulana Fazalur Rehman said that what took place in Rawalpindi on 10th of Muharram was great loss to religious harmony and credibility of the country.

However, he said that it was time to repair the losses and not further instigating the prejudice.

Fazal said that emotions often results in misunderstandings and intensifying the crises therefore one should avoid following sentiments and play role for bringing betterment in the prevailing situation.

He was of the view that Ulema hailing from all sects are in consensus for joint efforts to restore peace and promote interfaith harmony as it was in the larger interest of country and its people as well.

Commenting over the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government announcement of blocking NATO supply, the JUI-F said that the decision couldn’t be implemented as on ground realities were different and Pakistan has recently received 500 million dollars from US.
