QUETTA Nov 25 (PPI): Balochistan Chief Minister has said that government is committed to revive traditional beauty of Quetta and providing basic facilities to the citizens and no lapse and leniency would be tolerated in this regard.
He was addressing a meeting to review Quetta development project here Monday.
Provincial Ministers, MPAs, Chief Secretary Babar Yaqoob Fateh Muhammad, Additional Chief Secretary Development, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Secretary Finance, Secretary Local Government, Secretary C&W, Commissioner Quetta Division and others attended.
Meeting was informed of headway in various sectors under Quetta Development project and problems.
Chief Minister urged official of Quetta Development authority to improve their performance. He aid his government believes in service to the masses and was introducing new culture. No corruption and irregularity would be tolerated in development projects.
He asked departments to set their direction right so that government is not forced to any extreme step.
WATER POJECT: Expressing anger over performance of WASA Chief Minister said this has meted enemy like treatment with Quetta but his government would not allow this situation to continue any more. His government would not come under black mailing of any mafia. He said supply of water to Quetta has become a challenge. It is because of corruption. He aid responsible did not consider this city as their own. He directed strict action against sellers of water form government tubewells. He also directed for steps to overcome mafia in WASA.
He also expressed anger that Quetta Water Project which was estimated at rupees 7 billion has now reached to 22billion because of ignorance, lapses and corruption.
