All major rivers normal

ISLAMABAD, Sep 15 (APP): The Federal Flood Commission (FFC) on
Sunday said that all the main rivers, including Indus, Jhelum ,Chenab,
Ravi and Sutlej were flowing normal.
According to the daily FFC report, Tarbela and Mangla reservoirs
were at elevations of 1548.77 feet and 239.05 feet respectively,
which are 1.23 feet and 2.95 feet below their respective maximum
conservation levels of 1550.00 feet and 1242.00 feet.
The combined live storage position of Tarbela, Chashma and
Mangla reservoirs is 13.918MAF as compared to last year's 10.848MAF.
According to Flood Forecasting Division (FFD), Lahore,
Saturday's trough of westerly wave still persisted over northern
parts of the country.
Seasonal low lied over north eastern Balochistan and
adjoining areas. Moist current from Arabian Sea was penetrating
into upper parts of the country upto 3000 feet.
As predicted by the Flood Forecasting Division (FFD),
isolated thundershower with isolated moderate falls at one or two
places is expected over Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Malakand,
Hazara, Kohat and Peshawar divisions alongwith Khyber, Mohmand,
Kurram and Bajour agencies, including Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and
northeastern Balochistan, besides, upper catchments of Indus,
Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej rivers during the next 24 hours.
Significant rainfall was reported during last 24 hours in
Besham=18 mm, Dir= 17 mm ,Hattian Bala =14 mm and Pattan =11mm.
