Dr Munaf recovered after payment of Rs 500 million as ransom: PMA

QUETTA, Dec 1 (Online): President, Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Balochistan, Sultan Tareen has said that the abducted cardiologist Dr. Munaf Tareen was recovered after payment of Rs 500 million as ransom.
Talking to news men here on Sunday, Sultan Tareen said that their strike was not limited to the demand of Dr. Munaf Tareen, adding that they would continue to observe strike until their all demands are met.
Criticizing the provincial government, he said that paying ransom to recover the kidnapped cardiologist is a “slap on the face†of Balochistan government.
On the occasion, Dr. Shaukat said that general body of PMA would meet tomorrow to chalk out future work plan.
He demanded of the government to provide security to the doctors.
