Balochistan Govt extends FC’s Police Powers for 2 months

QUETTA, Dec 02 (Online): Balochistan government under eyeing the law and order situation of the province has extended the duration of police powers delegated to Frontier Corps (FC) for 2 months.

As per Interior Secretary Balochistan Asad Gillani, FC was delegated the powers of police few months before to bring improvement in the law and order situation of the Quetta.

This duration of powers had ended on November 16 and after that Chief Minister (CM) Abdul Maalik Balcoh was again sent the summary to extend the duration of FC powers for 2 months more.

CM has approved the proposed summary and now FC will exercise the powers of police till January 16.
