Russian Company to convert 2 oil run power houses on coal

KARACHI, Dec 04 (Online): Ministry for Water and Power (W&P) next week will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Russian company to convert the 2 oil run power houses of 1400 mega watts on coal energy.
Federal Secretary for W&P Saifullah Chattah while talking to media said that Russian company ‘Techno Pram’ will convert the 800 mega watts Jamshoro and 600 mega watts of Guddu plant from oil to coal.
He said, in this regard MoU will be signed with Russian company in next week, while Techno Pram has also expressed its interest in establishing a 660 mega watts power house in Coal Power Park of Balochistan.
