NATO supply, lawlessness: JI Balochistan to launch protest demonstration from Dec 13

QUETTA, Dec 04 (Online): Jamaat Islami (JI) Balochistan has announced to launch protest demonstrations from December 13 to 29, 2013 all across the province against NATO supply and continued lawlessness, price hike and unemployment in the country.

Provincial Ameer JI Abdul Mateen, Secretary General Bashir Ahmed Khundai along with other leaders said during a press conference Quetta press club that protest demonstrations will be held on national avenues and different areas of the province.

Provincial Ameer said, in first phase of protest demonstration, JI will arrange APC and Tribal Councils, while will launch the movement from December 13, 2013 by holding protest on Chamman

After that protest demonstration will be held in Quetta on December 20, while on Dec 29 public protests will be arranged in Naseerabad on the route of NATO supply. Protest will be staged on 4 main avenues of the province, he added.

Abdul Mateen said that nation is being dragged into economic crises from the day when Pakistan became ally of US in war against terror, and because of this, lawlessness has spread in country.

He said, rulers seems being failed in resolving the issues of public because, they have closed the doors of employment on youth by increasing the tax to fulfill their own resources, while it is the responsibility of government to provide employment to youth.

Abdul Mateen said, Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has not worked on the hope that he had given to people before the general polls of May 11, while he has also not taken any lesson from his past experiences.

“Matters are becoming worst due to delay in decisions because, Pervez Musharraf went against our culture, religion and faith by supporting US in war against terror, while it has been confirmed in Wiki Leaks that US had already planned the attack on Afghanistan,” he added.

JI Provincial leader more said that all parties have advised the current government that Pakistan should take itself out from this war but, Nawaz Sharif government is also continuing the policies of its predecessors.

He said all parties have forwarded this opinion in All Parties Conference (APC) that Pakistan should come out of war on terror by changing its foreign policy because this war is creating problems for country.

“No one in the society is feeling secure, kidnapping and target killing is ongoing even Ulema, political and religious leaders are being targeted,” he added.


Replying to a query he said, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has fake mandate and Altaf Hussain is not a political leader he has made Karachi hostage for 20 years.

“US should leave this land and we by blocking the NATO supply should pressurize US to stop drone attacks on our country,” he concluded.
