8 killed‚ 37 injured in 3 road accidents in Punjab

LAHORE, Dec 11 (Online): Eight people were killed and thirty seven others sustained injuries in three road accidents in Punjab Wednesday morning .
The road accidents took place in Lahore‚ Lodhran and Muridke.
Five people were killed and fifteen injured in a head-on collision between a bus and truck on a road near Lahore.
Police and rescue teams said a bus carrying more than 30 passengers overturned on Kala Khatai road near Lahore Wednesday morning, leaving five persons dead and 18 injured, including women.
The injured were shifted to hospitals in Shahdara and Lahore.
They said the incident took place owing to dense fog on the highway.
Meanwhile‚ in Lodhran‚ three persons were killed and two injured in a collision between a passenger bus and a rickshaw at Duniyapur Road.
Twenty people were injured in a traffic accident near Muridke in a head-on collison between a bus and a truck.
The bus was heading from Lahore to Narowal.
