2 killed, 24 injured in suicide explosion

QUETTA Jan 1 (PPI): New Year 2014 began in Quetta with a suicide explosion claiming two lives and injuries to 24 others.
According to details Zaireen’s bus was coming from Taftan to Quetta Wednesday evening. When it reached in Akhtarabad area on the outskirts of metropolis, a suicide attacks was made on it. As a result bus caught fire and destroyed completely. A police van escorting Zaireen bus was also damaged in the explosion. Fire brigade crew reached the spot and fought with the flames of bus and controlled them.
“ it was a suicide attack in which attacker was killed, “ DIG Operation Mobeen told Newsmen.
Two persons Ghulam Ali and Ghulam Abbas were killed and 24 others sustained injuries. Injured were shifted to BMC Hospital and CMH. Among the Wounded were 5 policemen and 4 women. Condition of five injured persons is stated to be very serious.
Balochistan Shia Conference while strongly condemning the suicide attack on Zaireen’s bus has demanded immediate arrest of terrorists. It has also hurled call for shutter down for Thursday.
