QUETTA: Balochistan Professors and Lecturers Association (BPLA) has threatened to lodge protest in case the college’s teachers were not met immediately.
Addressing a press conference here at the Press Club, the President BPLA, Sher Zaman pointed out that the issues of the college’s teachers are not being resolved for long, as a result a wave of resentment is prevailed among them.
The issues of the college teachers are included: promotion and up-gradation of the college teachers, award of time scale, senior post allowance, etc.
The BPLA President regretfully pointed out that the college teachers are deprived of their “due” promotions as the necessary notification was not issued in this regard.
He also referred to the association’s meetings with the Chief Minister and other concerned authorities, which have proved futile so far as nothing was done except mere assurances made by them.
However, the BPLA would not withdraw from their demands, he asserted.
If the demands were not met then the association would be forced to lodge protest in front of the Balochistan Assembly building
