‘Dream Training Programme’ is initiated by Gangwon Province, the host of Pyeong Chang Winter Olympics-2018, as a promotion plan for young winter sports athletes. Since 2004, the Province is inviting skiers from countries, where winter sports facilities are not amply provided.

In order to expand and develop the Dream Training Programme, the Province is operating a Winter Sports Academy which provides lessons from Korean National team level athletes to raise quality of training. About 150 participants from 40 different countries are participating in ‘Dream Training Programme-2014’.

Pakistan has been participating in the Dream Programme every year, since 2011. It is also worth mentioning here that Pakistani Skiers secured Gold and Silver Medals in their categories in friendly competitions conducted at the end of last year’s training camp.
