Bridge collapsed due to explosion

JAFFARABAD Jan 26 (PPI): A bridge along by pass collapsed in an explosion when a truck was passing Sunday. Truck fell down and two persons were injured.
According to details a truck No. Tkt 174 carrying onion form Sukkur to Bhag was passing over a bridge along by pass here today. There was an explosion and truck fell down. As a result driver Noor Ahmed Brohi and another person were injured.
Due to damage to the bridge traffic between Balochistan and Sindh w as completely suspended and along queues of vehicles stranded on both sides.
Truck drivers while protesting said contractor used substandard material for building the bridge.
Contractor Omar Khan Pathan also reached the scene and told that work on building six bridges along the bypass was underway for which NHA has released Rupees 790 million. He said claim of using substandard material is incorrect. Since truck was overloaded the incident took place.
Meanwhile on the report of Driver Noor Ahmed Brohi a case was registered against Contractor Omar Khan.
