QUETTA Jan 29 (PPI): Five bills were tabled in Balochistan Assembly here Wednesday.
According to details House assembled here today with Deputy Speaker Abdul Quddus Bizenjo in the chair..
When Adviser on Education Sardar Raza Barech introduced Balochistan Public Service Commission (Amendment) Bill 2014, Opposition strongly protested and staged token walk out two times. They also included an MPA from ruling coalition.
Maulana Abdul Wasay said what is this right to punish a man other members of Balochistan Public Service Commission were also being punished. We have no objection any wrong doer is punished or hanged to death.
Chief Minister and leader of the House Dr Abdul Malik Baloch said that Public Service Commission is important organisation. We would ensure merit. He said duration of Chairman of Public Service commission is three years in Centre, Punjab and Khyber Pashtoonkhwa provinces. But it is five years in Balochistan. We are bringing it at par with other provinces and Centre.
Provincial Minister Dr Hamid Achakzai said that all should go by law. When there are proofs and NAB action against one person silence over it is beyond understand. He said people held demonstrations over corruption in Public Service Commission but no action was taken against them. With the result situation was becoming ticklish.
Later Opposition went out of House two times. MPA from coalition Party PML Asim Kurd Gallo also went out of the House along with Opposition members.
When Chair put the bill for voting if it should be exempted form requirements of Rule 84 of Balochistan Assembly Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business 1974, House Okayed it with majority. (This means bill will not be sent to House committee for scrutiny).
Balochistan chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch moved three amendment bills relating to Salaries, Allowances and Privileges of Chief Minister and provincial ministers, Speaker and Deputy Speaker, Leader of Opposition and Assembly members on behalf of Provincial Minister for S&GAD in the House. It was stated by Leader of Opposition would be admissible to these privileges according to Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
Provincial Minister Dr Hamid Achakzai tabled Balochistan Coastal Development Authority (amendment) bill 2014.
