QUETTA Jan 29 (PPI): No organization played practical role for promotion of women business in Balochistan but Quetta chamber. Women businessmen were thus facing difficulties and problems.
These views were expressed by Organiser Women Business Alliance and noted businesswoman and Executive Member of Quetta Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shahida Masood Khan and Nafeesa Ashraf Tareen while addressing women at a tea party.
They said a group from another province was occupying Quetta women chamber established in t he name of Balochistan women. Under a planned conspiracy this group has spoiled rights of women businessmen of Quetta and elections of this chamber under Trade Ordinance were changed into selection. A woman was elected for 2014 who belongs to Islamabad only.
Shahida Masood Khan said under elf help basis she was taking measures for securing rights of women and their security and to rid Women chamber from this occupation group. She said unfortunately some trade organizations from Balochistan were backing this occupation group and with it this group has committed record corruption during the four years and trade matters of women businessmen were kept backward.
She congratulated federal Commerce minister Ghulam Dastgir and said she hoped he would take legal cooperation to promote backward women of this province and establishing more chambers of commerce in
She appealed to Director General Trade Organisation Islamabad and Federal Secretary Commerce to take legal action on her application for elimination of occupation group.
