Three women executed on decision of tribal jirga in FR Kohat

KOHAT, Sept 16 (INP): Violation of basic rights of women continues in tribal areas as three women were executed on decision of tribal jirga here on Sunday.
It should be mentioned that a married woman hailing from Jawakai area of FR Kohat and residing in Karachi, fled away from her house, along with her two accomplices.
The accused married another man and started living in Swat.
A case of kidnapping of the woman was registered in Karachi and hunt for recovery was started. Later, Swat police recovered the wanted woman and handed over to her heirs.
A Jirga was held at Jawaki and ordered that the run away woman, her aunt and a cousin for aiding and abetting in her fleeing from the house be killed.
Political administration said that investigations were in progress in to the case.
