500 retired soldiers of army join Sindh police

KARACHI, Feb 16 (Online): At least 500 retired soldiers of the Pakistan army have joined the Sindh police here on Sunday, media reported.

The Sindh Police spokesman said the retired soldiers were appointed to combat terrorism in the city.

“They will be appointed in the sensitive areas of Karachi after one month training”, he told.

He further said that some 600 other retired soldiers would join the police in coming weeks.
