QUETTA Feb 18 (PPI): Federal Minister for religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yusuf has called for avoiding negative propaganda to resolve all problems and disputes in the country.
Addressing Ittehad Banail Muslimeen Conference here Tuesday Minister said that on the directives of federal government a coordinated strategy was being evolved for religious harmony but Ulema can play effective role in elimination of ethnic and linguistic prejudices.
Dr Attaur Rehman, Maulana Anwarul Haq Haqqani, Maulana Syed Juma Asadi, Maulana Abdul Quddus Sasoli, Maulana Asmatullah, Qari Arshad Yameen and Maulana Muhammad Ramzan Mengal also spoke on the occasion called for prevention of provocative propaganda and disputes.
Sardar Yusuf said differences are party of democracy but Islam has given education of tolerance, brotherhood and love. By following this elimination of differences is possible.
He said he was visiting whole of country on the directives of Prime Minister seeking opinions and suggestion of Ulema and Mashaikh. He said Pakistan is fortress of Islam and its security is responsibility of us all. He aid Islam teaches us lesson of unity and strongly holding rope of Allah. Unfortunately Muslims are killing each other in Pakistan. He said government was striving hard to develop harmony among various religions and sects which is important need of time. He appealed to Ulema to strengthen hands of government in this regard.
He said Pakistan was passing through most difficult time where solidarity and harmony is needed most. Ulema rising above all sectarianism should give lesson of peace to the masses and play their role to steer Pakistan out of extremism and chaos. He aid in view of suggestions put forth today necessary legislation would also be made.
Provincial Secretary Religious Affairs Abdul Mannan Agha highlighted aims and objectives of conference and thanked participants for their participation.
