JACOBABAD feb 18 (PPI): United States was ready to cooperate with Pakistan for establishing peace in the country. We have no connection to talks between Government of Pakistan and Taliban nor can make any comment on it. It is internal matter of Pakistan.
This was stated by American Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson while addressing clean drinking water and sewerage system for City here Tuesday. The project would cost 36 million dollars and it would be completed by next year.
US Consul General Micheal Dadman, Chief of USAID Pakistan, Provincial Minster Hazar Khan Bijarani, Additional Chief Secretary, DC Jacobabad and others were present.
Olson said the project would supply 0.3 million gallons of water to the people in the city. America was busy in improving water supply system in league with Sindh government. He said this project initiated in Jacobabad is part of Sindh Municipal Services Programme is estimated to cost 66 million dollars. This project he said would rehabilitate in serviceable water plant and provide clean and drinking water to the citizens. He said this project would later hand over to Northern Sindh Urban Development Corporation.
Referring to Drone attacks Richard Olson said President Barrack Obama has presented clear policy in this regard and no comment can be made on it any more.
During his day long visit American Ambassador visited under construction Jacobabad Institute of medicinal Sciences and watched ongoing work. The project is being completed with American cooperation. He had laid foundation stone of this Institute last year. This hospital would consist of 133 bed where 1.2 million people would gt health facilities. It would have OPD, modern laboratory, emergency ward, special ward of mother child health, maternity home, operation theatre, cardiology ward, ICU and medical ward.
