BUJ holds demonstration

QUETTA Mar 4 (PPI): Journalists have demanded immediate arrest of killers of Abrar Tanoli and Babar Wali and security to journalists all over country including Balochistan.
This demand was raised by President Balochistan Union of Journalists, President Quetta Press Club Razaur Rehman and others while addressing a protest demonstration organized under aegis of BUJ here Tuesday.
Demonstration was held against murder of Secretary General Mansehra Press Club Abrar Tanoli.
Speakers said constitution has guaranteed freedom of expression but attempts were being made to impose curbs on it. We strongly condemn this attempt.
They said we welcome judicial decision about Wali Babar but real culprits should also be arrested. Organization or party behind this murder should also be exposed.
They demanded constitution of judicial commission over killings of journalists all over the country to expose target killings of journalists. Government of Balochistan has announced a judicial commission over murders of journalists in the province. This should consist of judge of high court. Journalists were being killed under prevalent situation and freedom of journalism was being strangulated. They demanded government should arrest killed of Abrar Tanoli and other journalists killed in the country and punish them.
Demonstration and dharna would be staged all over the province on the all of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists on March 20, they added.
