PTI challenges Punjab Local Government Act

LAHORE, Mar 7 (INP): Pakistan Tekreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has challenged Section 22 of Punjab Local Government Act in Lahore High Court.
The petition, filed by PTI Punjab president Chaudhry Aijaz, stated that the Punjab government can appoint any government employee as returning officer during local government elections under Section 22 of the Act.
The PTI leader said this section will open doors for rigging during the polls, therefore, the court should declare Section 22 as null and void.
