Chinese Ruyi Group agree to invest in energy, mining, textile sectors of Punjab

LAHORE, March 11 (Online): A delegation of Shandong Ruyi Group of China met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday and expressed interest in investment in energy, mining and textile sectors in the province.
The delegation included senior Vice President Ruyi Group Jerry Liu, Executive President Arie Qiu, Vice President Ms. Li Aiying, Executive Director Zhang Liuzhang and Chief Executive Officer Masood Textile Shahid Nazir.
Talking to the Chinese delegation, the Chief Minister said that the confidence of foreign investors is increasing due to the policies of Pakistan Muslim League-N government led by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and various companies of China and other countries have expressed willingness to invest in energy and other sectors in
Pakistan.
He said that all out measures are being taken for resolving energy crisis. He said that agreement has been reached between Punjab Minerals Department and Chinese group for setting up two coal power plants of 135 megawatt in Salt Range for which local coal will be used. He welcomed the interest taken by Ruyi Group of China for investment in energy, mining and textile sectors and assured that all out facilities would be provided to Chinese investors.
The Chief Minister said that Punjab government is setting up an apparel park for the development of textile and garments sectors. He said that government will welcome cooperation of Chinese group for the establishment of apparel park and garments zone.
He said that there are vast reserves of coal in Punjab which the government wants to utilize. He said that Chinese group can cooperate with Punjab government in the sector of coal mining.
Senior Vice President of Ruyi Group, Jerry Liu said that there is a favorable atmosphere for investment in Punjab and his company wants to make investment in the province due to charismatic personality and dedication of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
He said that Shahbaz Sharif's style of working is very impressive.
