Registrar SC Faqir agrees to call it a day on March 24

ISLAMABAD, March 18 (Online): The Registrar, Supreme Court, Dr. Faqir Hussain has agreed to hand over his resignation as Registrar SC, over which a summary for appointment of new Registrar has been forwarded to the government.
Dr. Faqir Hussain had recently been able to pull a one year extension, (but) which he had to withdraw in face of strong resistance from fraternity circles of Pakistan Bar Association and Supreme Court Bar Association.
Consenting to the pressure Dr. Faqir has announced to retire on 24th March, while according to a Supreme Court resolution, Faqir Hussain has thanked the CJP for his cooperation and assistance.
Dr. Faqir Hussain is expected to be succeeded by DG-Law and Justice Commission, as the new Registrar Supreme Court.
