Perils of Terrorism: Thousands unregistered SIMS blocked

ISLAMABAD March 18 (Online): The government on Tuesday blocked thousands of unregistered Mobile-Sims across the country.
According to sources, the Sims blockage decision has been taken after the reports and complains about unregistered Sims that were being used in terrorism and various other heinous crimes.
According to an estimate, the PTA has shut services of at least 4 million unregistered Mobile-Sims in the country. The restoration of the closed Sims will be made possible by proper registration.
According to sources, around 10 Crore Sims of various companies are being used in the country today.
