ABBOTTABAD+SHANGLA, Mar 18 (Online): Parents of the girls in the Kohistan video scandal appeared before the court and recorded their statements.
On Tuesday, Session Court Judge Justice Mohammad Irshad conducted the hearing of the case. The girls parents recording their statement before the court sai that the girls are alive and doing well but according to their tribal culture they cannot present the girls before the court.
The girls parents said that the police is showing negligence in the case.
On this Justice Irshad ordered the parents to present the girls before the court on April 2 and adjourned the hearing.
Five women from the remote northern region of Kohistan were allegedly killed by their families in 2012 after they were filmed on a cellphone clapping and singing in a house with two boys.
Investigators spoke to women who said they were the alleged victims, proving the murders had never taken place, but evidence has since emerged which suggests they may have been impostors.
