Mehmood slams minor's rape

LAHORE, Sept 16 (APP): Opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly
Mian Mehmood ur Rashid condemning the rape of five-year-old girl has demanded early arrest of culprits and examplery punishments to them.
Talking to media after visiting rape victim Sumbul at the Services
Hospital on Monday, he said, the tragic incident has earned bad name
for the country.
He said, to protect its citizens is the prime responsibility
of the government. He said, forensic laboratory be used in tracing
the culprits.
He further recommended that laws regarding violence against
women be ammended and make more strict. He said, the culprits
should be handed down a deterrent punishment.
The PTI leader also expressed solidarity with the girl and
her family.
