New rainy spell likely from Thursday

LAHORE,April 15 (APP)- Pakistan Meteorological
Department (PMD) Punjab has predicted new rainy spell at
scattered places in Punjab (Multan, Sargodha, Rawalpindi,
Gujranwala, Lahore, D.G Khan divisions) from Thursday.
Chief Metrologist Lahore Muhammad Riaz while talking to
APP on Tuesday informed that a shallow westerly wave is
expected to approach Western and upper parts of the country
in next 24 hours which is likely to persist during next 36-48 hours.
Under the influence of this weather system scattered rain
is expected in Punjab (Lahore, Sargodha, Rawalpindi, Multan
and Gujranwala divisions) and other provinces.
He said that this rainy spell would continue for two to
three days while cloudy condition with dust-storm would also
occur. Therefore night temperatures would decrease a little
during this period.
According to daily report,mainly dry weather is
expected in most parts of the country including provincial
capital in next 24 hours.The weather remained dry in most
parts of the country in last 24 hours.
In the metropolis minimum temperature was recorded 18.3øC
while maximum was 33øC on Tuesday.
