Literary seminar held in Balochistan University

QUETTA, April 17 (APP): A literary seminar was organized at the University
of Balochistan on the topic of "Living Literature" to highlight different aspects of contemporary literature.
According to a press release issued, here on Thursday, renowned drama
and fiction writer, Dr. Taj Raisani read his paper on different aspects of contemporary literature. He said: "Literature is a mirror that reflects the cultural traditions and values of a society". He emphasized the need to promote standard literary work.
Another writer, Waheed Zaheer who has earned name by working on literary
work, especially on local history and culture of Balochistan urged writers to promote positive values in their writings. He said, "Literature steers a society out of disappointments and darkness and brings it to enlightenment".
Intellectuals and writers including Prof. Abdul Aaleem Sadiq, Bairam
Ghori, Afzal Murad, Prof. Iqbal Nazir, Prof. Man Mansoor, Prof. Yousuf Baloch and Jaind Jamaldini were also present.
