IG Sindh seeks report on Karachi blast

KARACHI, April 28 (APP): Inspector General of Sindh Police, Iqbal
Mehmood Monday directed the DIG West to submit inquiry report
regarding the blast occurred in madrasah adjacent to the Tahiri
Mosque in the jurisdiction of Mominabad police station.
In a statement, the Sindh Police Chief has directed to expedite
the steps to register case and arrest culprits involved in the
incident.
He has called for collection of the circumstantial evidences and
preparation of sketches of accused by taking the administration of
madrasah and mosque into confidence.
Necessary measures be also taken for publicity of the accused's
sketches, he directed.
The IG Sindh has also directed the Additional IG Karachi to
ensure implementation on directives regarding snap checking, police
picketing and patrolling at all important and sensitive spots and
areas including mosques, imambargahs, shrines and madrasahs.
He has further directed the Sindh Forensic Division to prepare
effective forensic report on the basis of evidences collected from the
crime scene of the blast.
