ISLAMABAD, May 8 (Online): Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan has said rigging was the biggest threat to democracy.

Talking to media outside the Supreme Court here on Thursday, the PTI chief said people will lose confidence in democracy if their elected representatives were defeated through rigging.

Imran Khan said, it is said that democracy will be derailed due to protest but the actual danger for democracy is rigging.

Fair elections are the survival of democracy, we hope that we will acquire justice from Supreme Court.

He said our four applications are pending in Supreme Court, the situation is such that one of our candidates spent RS 5 millions and 7 Lac for acquiring justice.

Khan said his party knocked every door to seek justice in a year, but to no avail. Hence we decided to take to the streets, he added.

The PTI chairman reiterated that government would be responsible if they attempted to stop the peaceful protest demonstration of PTI on May 11 in Islamabad.
