NTDC repairs towers, restores supply

QUETTA may 19 (PPI): National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) complete repair of four towers of 220 kv transmission line between Sibi and Mach Monday and started supply. After repair of 220 kv towers additional load shedding in 16 districts of Balochistan was lifted.
Four towers of 220 kv Sibi-Quetta transmission line had collapsed due to stormy winds on May 7. Due to collapse of these towers electricity shortage had increased and over loading problem created in 16 districts of Balochistan including provincial capital and additional load shedding was observed.
After repair of transmission line and resumption of supply from it 4 to 6 hours load shedding was made in Quetta and 8 to 9 hours at District headquarters.
