Wells, karezes drying up due to drought

PANJGUR Aug 24 (PPI): Wells and karezes (underground water channels) have started to dry up due to long drought.
According to details Panjgur and adjourning areas were hit by drought for long. With the result wells and karezes have started drying up while some of them have completely dried. It was not only affecting irrigation but people were forced to search out water for domestic use. Drying up of wells and karezes was causing massive damages to the orchards and crops.
People of the area have appealed to the government to provide funds immediately for restoration of wells and karezes.
