Vice Chairperson HRC Balochistan chapter speaks

QUETT A sep 26 (PPI): Balochistan has become most dangerous area for journalists of the world. Killings of journalists were continuing and over 40 journalists have been killed in their jihad of pen while rulers were extending mere lip service.
These views were expressed by Vice Chairperson Human rights Commission of Pakistan Balochistan Chapter Tahir Hussain Advocate while expressing with the journalists at their hunger strike camp outside Balochistan Assembly here Friday.
He said HRCP has condemned human rights violation particular violence against journalists and their killings in Balochistan. He said HRCP understands killings of journalists are dirty conspiracy to suppress voice of weak strata of society. Fact finding Commission of HRCP would soon be visiting Balochistan wherein non arrest of killers of journalists and not paying compensation to their relatives according to their demands would be highlighted.
He said our organisation considers journalists as its part. He aid civil society and true political forces should also raise voice over violence against journalists and their murders. We fully support journalists protest for payment of compensation to the relatives of martyred journalists according to security forces category and assured them of our every cooperation.
Meanwhile journalists hunger strike camp over delay for constitution fo judicial commission for probing killings of journalists, non arrest of their killers entered fourth day Friday. A large number of political and civil society representatives visited the camp and expressed solidarity with the journalists. They included Avider on Finance Khalid Khan Langav, ex MPA Tariq Masoori Bugti and others.
They demanded of the government for identifying killers of journalists and bring them to net of law. Judicial Commission for inquiry of killings of martyrs should be constituted at the earliest and relatives of martyred journalists should be paid compensation according to security forces category.
