QUETTA Nov 17 (PPI): Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said efforts would be made to bring educational curricular according to ground realities and contemporary demands. Menace of cheating has major enemy of Balochistan?s future and youth. Department action was underway against absent teachers.
He expressed these views while addressing Youth Festival organised by Human Rights Commission of Pakistan on Education and answering to questions asked by participants here Monday.
Dr Abdul Malik Baloch said appointments of teachers through NTS would bring in educational situation. We cannot meet contemporary challenges without ending tradition of ?Sifarish? in education department.
Chief Minister said ghost schools were being traced. He said of the rupees 190 balloon budget 160 million are spent on salaries and non development expenditures while 2.3 million children do not go to schools. To bring them to the schools Rupee s62 million are needed. Despite limited resources provincial government has increased education budget to 26 percent from 4 percent. Future of our children is linked with education and provincial government cannot be ignorant of this he added.
